Where do you learn?

PADI eLearning: By far the fastest, easiest, most effective and most enjoyable way to do so is with PADI’s new eLearning program. It combines text, photos, illustrations, charts, graphs, animations and live-action video in a way that makes learning easy and fun. Fulfilled at your own time, place & pace!

Crewpack:Students who are more comfortable with traditional textbooks and classroom lectures can also choose to use our textbook-based learning materials. If you opt for this route, it is important that you are good at reading carefully, taking notes and underlining or highlighting important information.
When you complete the self-study phase of the course, it’s time to get wet. Fulfilled at the shop.

Academic Review and Pool Training

We are lucky enough to be able to use the deepest pool in the Tampa Bay area. Brandon Aquatic Center is where you will fulfill your confined (or Pool ) training. Pool training consist’s of two separate pool dives and must be completed in order. The first dive consists of becoming familiar with the various equipment you will be using throughout the training, and becoming familiar with the techniques we will be using during training.

The second pool dive will introduce you to deeper training and emergency scenarios. Your objective for these dives is to master the skills needed to keep yourself safe in case of an emergency, and insure proper techniques.  Once you master theses skills, you will progress to the Open Water portion of the dive class.

Open Water dives are held over the period of a weekend and will usually be held at a Freshwater (day 1) & Saltwater(day2) dives sites. Each of the dives allow you the oppurtunity to apply the skills youve masterd in the pool and to make guided dives under the supervision of your instructor. These dive’s may be held at several locations in the area.
